18-Year-Old Bradley Johnson, Teen Passenger Killed in DUI Crash on Elverta Road [Antelope, CA]
Two Teens Dead after Speeding Car Accident on Elverta Road near Northam Drive in Antelope
ANTELOPE, CA (September 22, 2020) – Police identified 18-year-old Bradley Johnson as one of the two teens who died in a DUI crash on Elverta Road on early Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened in the area of Northam Drive just west of Watt Avenue just before 01:00 AM.
Based on a report, Johnson was driving an early 2000s Pontiac Grand Am at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle. Subsequently, it left the road and slammed into a tree. As a result, the car spun around, causing it to hit another tree before breaking into three pieces. In the end, the impact ejected Johnson and his passenger.
Medics said Johnson, 18, from Antelope, and his 18-year-old passenger died at the scene. Authorities are still trying to identify the second fatality.
Emergency crews closed Elverta Road between Northam Drive and Driver Way for several hours for a clearing operation.
`
Speed and alcohol played a major factor in the crash. However, police continued to investigate the case.
