Woman Injured in San Diego Pedestrian Accident
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 22, 2020)—A 44-year-old pedestrian sustained injuries Monday morning after being hit by a car at Kettner Boulevard and West Broadway.
According to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros, the accident took place around 1:15 a.m.
Delimitros indicated that the 44-year-old woman tried walking northbound on Kettner Boulevard inside a marked crosswalk. However, a Toyota Camry heading westbound on West Broadway on a green traffic light struck her.
As a result of the accident, the woman sustained a wrist and pelvic fracture and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the 25-year old man driving the Toyota stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
At this time, details about where the fault lies remain unclear.
