Lathrop Pedestrian Accident on Highway 120
LATHROP, CA (September 22, 2020) — A pedestrian died Friday night after being hit by a car on Highway 120 near the 5 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 9:43 p.m. on the eastbound side of Highway 120.
Just east of the 5 Freeway, the pedestrian reportedly ran across the lanes of traffic, toward the center median. At some point, an oncoming vehicle struck the man, causing him fatal injuries.
It’s unclear at this point why the pedestrian was running on the highway in the first place. In addition, news reports featured no details surrounding the driver involved.
