16-Year-Old Airlifted after Pedestrian Accident on 10th Street [Antioch, CA]

ANTIOCH, CA (September 18, 2020) – Emergency crews airlifted a 16-year-old pedestrian after an accident on West 10th Street on early Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Auto Center Drive around 6:15 PM.
Based on a report, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters, police officers, and AMR crews located the Antioch resident non-responsive with major injuries. Subsequently, they used a medical helicopter to airlift the victim to a trauma center. At this time, the young man is said to be in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Drugs and alcohol due not appear to be a factor in this collision.
