1 Dead After Car Carrier and Big Rig Collide in Castaic Fatal Crash on 5 Freeway

 
CASTAIC, CA (September 17, 2020) — One person died Wednesday morning after a big rig and a car carrier crashed on the 5 Freeway near Parker Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal event happened just after midnight near the Parker Road off-ramp.
 
The incident left debris strewn across the northbound lane of the freeway.
 
Due to the damage and the investigation, officials closed the freeway and diverted traffic onto Halsey Canyon Road.
