One Killed in Garbage Truck Crash on Loop 101 [Phoenix, AZ]

Passenger Car and Garbage Truck Collide in Fatal Accident on Loop 101 at 7th Avenue in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (September 12, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a crash involving a garbage truck on Loop 101 Pima Freeway on early Saturday morning.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the accident happened near the intersection of 7th Avenue.
 
Based on a report, the truck collided with a passenger car. At this time, officials don’t have the details that led to the accident.
 
As a result, police said at least one person died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
 
At this time, officials do not know if drugs or alcohol were involved. However, they continue to investigate the case.
