Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Solana Beach Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101
SOLANA BEACH, CA (September 14, 2020) — A woman died following a pedestrian crash on Highway 101 near Ocean Street Saturday night.
According to San Diego County Sheriff’s, the crash happened around 8:00 p.m. in the 2600 block of South Coast Highway 101.
Per reports, the driver who struck the female pedestrian had immediately stopped to perform life-saving measures, along with bystanders. However, the victim died shortly after at a local hospital.
As for the cause of the accident, investigators have ruled out alcohol and drugs as possible factors in the incident. Although, it remains unclear where the fault lies.
