2 Injured in Multi-Car Crash at Highway 395 and Dos Palmas Road [Victorville, CA]
2 Hurt After Semi-Truck Collides With Cars in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (September 11, 2020) — A multi-vehicle crash at Highway 395 and Dos Palmas Road left two people hospitalized.
According to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez, a semi-truck heading southbound on the highway purportedly ran a red traffic light at the intersection with Dos Palmas Road.
Subsequently, the semi-truck struck an eastbound Nissan pickup, which flipped onto its side, as the semi-truck toppled onto an eastbound AT&T van in the process.
Soon after, Victorville City fire arrived at the scene and requested a helicopter to airlift the Nissan female driver to a trauma center. However, authorities later determined that she had suffered only minor injuries.
The male driver of the semi-truck also received hospital care after suffering minor injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the AT&T work van escaped harm.
During the investigation, crews had to close the area as pallets of Gatorade cases from the rig littered the scene.
Information surrounding what drove the crash requires further investigation.
Driving is debatably one of the most dangerous things you can do daily. To prepare yourself for the unexpected, drive with care and pay attention to the road ahead. Keep a sufficient amount of space from other travelers around you. This can also buy you road clearance and time.
