Sarah Leyrer Killed, Deputy Reggie Thomas Suffered Stroke During Multi-Car Crash on Airport Way South [Seattle, WA]
Sarah Leyrer Dies, Deputy Reggie Thomas Suffers Medical Emergency in Seattle Car Accident
SEATTLE, WA (September 10, 2020) — The deputy whose car struck and killed a woman during last month’s crash at Airport Way South and South Doris Street has died.
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Reggie Thomas struck 42-year-old Sarah Leyrer’s parked car in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood at the end of August.
Further investigations proved that Thomas, who recently passed away, had suffered a stroke at the time of hitting her car. The impact sent her parked vehicle into two other unoccupied parked cars.
Per detectives, Leyrer was waiting outside of a store for a loved one.
The aftermath and liabilities of this fatal crash demand more investigation. However, anyone with insight can call authorities.
Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to the bereaved families and friends of Sarah Leyrer and Deputy Reggie Thomas.
