Pedestrian Hurt Following Imperial Beach Accident
IMPERIAL BEACH, CA (September 3, 2020) — Paramedics brought an 81-year-old man to a hospital following Tuesday’s pedestrian crash on 13th Street near Imperial Beach Boulevard.
According to Sheriff’s Sgt. Robert Posada Jr., deputies arrived around 8:25 p.m. to find one man injured but conscious.
Wasting no time, paramedics transported him to a hospital with serious injuries. As of late, his condition is not known.
As for the driver of the 2018 Honda Civic that struck the elder, he or she stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The Honda, however, had to be impounded due to investigation reasons.
At this time, officers do not believe intoxication played a role in the crash; yet, if anyone has more information regarding this accident, please contact police detectives.
