Deadly Motorcycle Accident on Hillery Drive Near Black Mountain Road [San Diego, CA]
Man Killed in San Diego Motorcycle Crash
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 4, 2020) — A 26-year-old man died Wednesday following a motorcycle accident on Hillery Drive near Black Mountain Road.
According to the San Diego Police, the fatal accident took place in the 9200 block of Hillery Drive.
Officer Robert Heims expounded further on the accident, indicating that a 2016 Harley-Davidson, traveling westbound on Hillery Drive, struck the passenger side of a 2000 Honda Accord.
Inferring from investigations, it appears the eastbound Honda driver tried making a left turn into a Home Depot parking lot; however, the 63-year-old woman’s Honda ended up crossing into the motorcycle’s direction of travel.
Paramedics responded soon after and ushered the victim to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries. At this time, his name has been withheld pending notification of family members.
As for the Honda Accord driver, paramedics evaluated her after she had complained of hand pain and anxiety.
DUI did not play a role in the accident; although, anyone with additional insight should contact the San Diego Police Department.
