68-Year-Old Leonard Matsuyama Injured in Hit-and-Run on Jensen Avenue [Fresno County, CA]
Motorcyclist Leonard Matsuyama Struck by Hit-and-Run on Jensen Avenue near Brawley Avenue in Fresno County
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (August 31, 2020) – Medics sent a 68-year-old Leonard Matsuyama to the hospital after sustaining injuries in a hit-and-run on Jensen Avenue on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Brawley Avenue just after 5:30 AM.
Based on a report, a vehicle rear-ended the victim’s motorcycle. Subsequently, he became caught under the vehicle and it dragged him 100 to 200 feet away from the initial scene. After that, the vehicle left him in the roadway.
As a result, Matsuyama suffered major injuries. Crews took him to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno.
Investigators believe that vehicle was a white Ford F-150. Officers are still working to identify and locate the suspect. At this point, an investigation into the case is on-going.
