One Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 118 [Mission Hills, CA]
Two Vehicles and Motorcycle Crash on Highways 118 near 405 Freeway in Mission Hills
MISSION HILLS, CA (August 25, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 118 on Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near 405 Freeway around 10:45 PM.
Based on a report, the victim was riding a motorcycle when it crashed into two other vehicles. Subsequently, the motorcyclist was thrown into the westbound lanes of the freeway while the motorcycle remained in the eastbound lanes.
As a result, emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the name of the victim.
Responders closed all lanes of the freeway at Woodley Avenue to give way to clearing operations.
An investigation into the cause of the crash was underway. However, police don’t have additional information this time.
