Boy Killed, Two Other Children Injured in Snelling Car Crash on Oakdale Road
SNELLING, CA (August 23, 2020) – Police confirmed that 7-year-old Drayden Drake died in a multi-car crash on Oakdale Road near Turlock Road on Sunday night.
Based on a report, the boy was a passenger in a 2011 Cadillac SUV driven by 28-year-old Tasjuan Drake of Oakdale. It was traveling north and there was a southbound 2015 Toyota Tacoma driven by Daniel Donham, 35, of Ripon, waiting for it before turning eastbound on Turlock. Due to an unknown reason, an eastbound 2014 Ford Fusion, driven by Catherine Brehm, 58, of Coulterville pulled into the path of the Cadillac, causing a crash. Subsequently, the Ford then continued traveling north and struck the Tacoma.
Medical responders said the younger Drake died of his injuries at Emmanuel Medical Center. The older Drake and his passenger, Heather Hill, 25, suffered major injuries. Crews took them to Doctor’s Medical Center. In addition, crews also sent two children in the Cadillac, a four-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy –to Valley Children’s Hospital for moderate injuries. Lastly, they transported Brehm to Memorial Hospital with injuries.
Based on an assessment, alcohol, and drugs do not seem to be a factor in the crash.
