Victorville Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms
TWENTYNINE PALMS, CA (August 22, 2020) – Police identified 20-year-old Jessy Krohn as the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian on Highway 62 on Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at approximately 8:50 PM.
Based on a report, the 33-year-old Victorville man was standing in the westbound lane trying to get help for his vehicle that got stuck in the sand. At that time, Krohn’s 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck was driving west on the highway when he struck the victim.
The impact threw the man into the eastbound lanes. As a result, he died at the scene. Officials did not yet release his identity pending kin notification.
Police said the dim light in the area was a factor in the crash. However, police continue to investigate the case.
