Lance Jones Killed, Miguel Guzman Jr. Detained in Huntington Beach DUI Solo-Car Accident

 
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (August 27, 2020) — A 25-year-old man lost his life in a DUI single-vehicle accident at Springdale Street and West McFadden Avenue early Sunday.
 
According to a news report, the accident happened around 12:50 a.m.
 
Arriving rescue crews found a car that had slammed into a light pole, fatally injuring 25-year-old Lance Jones of Moreno Valley, who died at UC Irvine Medical Center around 5:21 a.m.
 
During the investigation, police found the driver — Miguel Angel Guzman Jr. — under the influence of alcohol.
 
The 21-year-old Riverside man now faces charges of gross vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
