Derrick Lacomb Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on 25th Avenue Southwest Near 24th Avenue Southwest
SEATTLE, WA (August 27, 2020) — A 34-year-old man died Monday evening following a hit-and-run accident on 25th Avenue Southwest near 24th Avenue Southwest.
Around 6 p.m., in the 6500 block of 25th Avenue Southwest, residents found a gravely injured man in the bushes and contacted officers.
A short time later, arriving authorities declared 34-year-old Derrick Lacomb deceased at the scene, his body showing obvious signs of trauma.
According to police, they believe the unidentified driver intentionally struck Lacomb before leaving the scene; however, the person’s intention remains unclear.
During their investigation, authorities released surveillance footage of two cars speeding down the street, hoping this will encourage witnesses’ help in identifying their names and whereabouts.
