Benjamin Reuland Charged after Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 2 near Spokane International Airport in Spokane
SPOKANE, WA (August 23, 2020) – Medics confirmed that Susan Aldworth, 72, suffered injuries in a wrong-way crash on Highway 2 on Sunday evening.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident happened near Spokane International Airport just before 6:00 PM.
Based on a report, Benjamin Reuland, 30, drove west on the eastbound lane of the highway. Consequently, his car struck Aldworth’s vehicle. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
As a result, medics took Aldworth to the hospital with injuries. Police did not release her condition right away. Reuland did not sustain any injury but crews took him to the hospital as a precaution.
Drugs or alcohol are believed to have been involved in the incident. At this time, Reuland is facing charges of vehicular assault in the crash.
