One Killed in Car Accident on Venice Boulevard [Los Angeles, CA]
Single Vehicle Involved in Fatal Crash on Venice Boulevard near 405 Freeway in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 24, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person got killed in a car accident on Venice Boulevard on early Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at the on-ramp to southbound 405 Freeway around 4:52 AM.
Based on a report, the victim was inside a car that crashed in the lanes and went over an embankment. However, officials did not yet release the details that led to the crash.
As a result, emergency crews pronounced one person dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity pending kin notification.
Officers closed all southbound lanes of the freeway to give way to a clearing operation.
At this time, officials do not have other information. However, they ask anyone with information to call the CHP’s Los Angeles office.
