Pedestrian Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Lyons Avenue near 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita
SANTA CLARITA, CA (August 21, 2020) – Authorities are now looking for the hit-and-run driver involved in a pedestrian accident on Lyons Avenue on early Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at a Chevron gas station in the 24500 block of Lyons Avenue. In addition, it occured near 5 Freeway just after 6:30 PM.
Based on a report, a dark-colored truck struck the pedestrian at the station’s parking lot. Afterward, the driver reportedly fled the scene before emergency responders arrived.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene. Officials did not yet release the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries.
At this time, police don’t have additional information regarding the hit-and-run driver. However, they are now continuing the investigation on the case.
