Dump Truck and Passenger Car Cause Crash on Padden Parkway near 152nd Avenue in Vancouver
VANCOUVER, WA (August 17, 2020) – Medics sent two people to the hospital after a crash involving a dump truck on Padden Parkway on Monday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near 152nd Avenue just after 7:30 AM.
Based on a report, the commercial dump truck hauling about 70,000 pounds of dirt collided with a passenger car in the lanes. When crews arrived at the scene, they found the car’s passenger side completely ripped off while resting against a fence at a 30-degree angle.
Vancouver Fire crews rescued a woman from the car. They rushed her to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. In addition, they also sent the driver of the dump truck to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Washington State Patrol is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. However, they don’t have additional information at this time.
