Visalia Police Officer Dale Rush Hospitalized in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 198 [Visalia, CA]
Vehicle Hits Visalia Police Officer on Highway 198 near Ben Maddox Way in Visalia
VISALIA, CA (August 3, 2020) – Emergency crews sent Visalia Police Officer Dale Rush to the hospital following a pedestrian accident on Highway 198 on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Ben Maddox Way just before 8:00 AM.
Based on a report, the officer was pulling a car pulling a trailer over at the off-ramp prior to the crash. At that time, a driver lost control of his car and collided with the trailer that the car being pulled over was connected to. Consequently, the car hit Rush.
As a result, the victim suffered moderate injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital for treatment.
At this point, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. However, officials don’t have additional information.
