Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash at Decatur Boulevard and Carmen Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV]
Woman Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 31, 2020) – A woman perished in Thursday’s hit-and-run two-vehicle crash at Decatur Boulevard and Carmen Boulevard.
According to a statement made Thursday morning, the crash happened around 4:20 a.m. near West Washington Avenue.
Investigators determined that a 2004 Hyundai Elantra heading eastbound entered the southbound lanes of North Decatur Boulevard at the intersection and collided with a 2006 Toyota 4Runner.
The driver of the 4Runner plowed into the driver’s side of the Hyundai, killing the 43-year-old Las Vegas woman at the wheel.
Authorities added that the Toyota driver ran from the scene, leaving a 23-year-old passenger in the car.
Not long after, paramedics arrived and transported the 23-year-old to University Medical Center with minor injuries.
With this crash now classified as a hit-and-run, investigators hope for witnesses’ help in locating the suspect’s whereabouts. Those with information should call Metro’s collision investigation section at 702-828-3595.
