2 Teens Arrested in Police Chase Accident Near Camarillo Street and Satsuma Avenue [North Hollywood, CA]
Police Chase Ends in Rollover Accident in North Hollywood
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (August 7, 2020) — A stolen BMW, occupied by two teens, spawned a police chase before ending in a rollover accident near Camarillo Street and Satsuma Avenue.
According to news reports, the pursuit began around 3:30 p.m. in Palmdale.
California Highway Patrol Sgt. Brian Axt said a teenage girl and boy jumped into the stolen BMW sedan before officers tried pulling the car over.
The teens, however, did not stop and began traveling in the wrong direction at a high rate of speed on a North Hollywood street.
Subsequently, the chase concluded when the black BMW slammed into two parked cars around 3:50 p.m. The force had been so powerful that the BMW overturned and pushed the parked cars out of their spots.
The BMW came to rest on its wheels before the pair ran out of the car into a nearby alley. Soon after, however, police officers detained both teens.
Information surrounding whether either of the teenagers sustained injuries was not available. Although, paramedics arrived at the scene to evaluate the girl and boy.
