Vehicle Overturned in Fatal Accident on Highway 101 near Highway 380 in San Bruno
SAN BRUNO, CA (August 4, 2020) – Police confirmed that a man and his dog died in a rollover crash on Highway 101 southbound on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at the connector to westbound Highway 380 near the San Francisco International Airport around 9:30 AM.
Based on a report, for an unknown reason, the victim’s pickup truck went off the highway. Consequently, it hit several trees on the right shoulder before it overturned.
As a result, the driver suffered major injuries and later died at the scene. The emergency crews said that the victim, a man believed to be in his 30s or 40s, was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. They did not yet release his identity pending kin notification. In addition, a pit bull in the truck also died in the incident.
