82-Year-Old Vicente Delgado Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Arrow Route [Rancho Cucamonga, CA]
Elderly Pedestrian on Motor Scooter Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Arrow Route in Rancho Cucamonga
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (August 3, 2020) – Police identified 82-year-old Vicente Delgado as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident in the 13300 block of Arrow Route on Monday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Hickory Avenue shortly before 2:00 PM.
Based on a report, the elderly man was crossing the street on a motor scooter to go to his mailbox when a white van struck him. As a result, officers of the San Bernardino County Fire found the man lying in the middle of the street.
Emergency medical responders pronounced Delgado deceased at the scene.
The car driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. At this time, the case remains under investigation. However, the CHP released an initial assessment showing the incident was believed to be an accident.
