Michael Jodoin Killed, Amy Hannan Detained Following DUI Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on McCourtney Road Near Auburn Road
GRASS VALLEY, CA (August 4, 2020) — A 59-year-old Waste Management employee died Monday following a hit-and-run DUI pedestrian accident on McCourtney Road near Auburn Road.
According to reports, the hit-and-run crash occurred around 9:00 a.m. near the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
California Highway Patrol officers reported that 59-year-old Michael Jodoin from Rough and Ready suffered fatal injuries when a driver struck him on the side of the road as he tried cleaning the area.
The unidentified driver, at the time, fled the scene before officers arrived.
However, following a lead, investigators became successful in tracking down the driver’s address.
Soon after, officers detained 47-year-old Amy Hannan, of Grass Valley, on charges of felony hit-and-run and DUI and booked her into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
