2 Cars Crash in Construction Zone on 10 Freeway [Cabazon, CA]
Vehicles Smash into Construction Barriers on 10 Freeway near the Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon
CABAZON, CA (July 31, 2020) – Police responded to a crash involving two cars in a construction zone on 10 Freeway on Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near the Desert Hills Premium Outlets at approximately 7:45 AM.
Based on a report, the two vehicles smashed into temporary construction barriers. Before the incident, Caltrans deployed a new temporary crossover lane between Banning and Cabazon as part of the freeway’s Pavement Rehabilitation Project.
Fortunately, the responders said no one was hurt in the crash.
Due to the commotion, the CHP requested Caltrans to check its new lane configuration for the safety of the motorists traveling in the area. At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
