Helen Vermillion, Sadi Tucker Among Hurt in Two-Vehicle Collision at Highway 108 and Tulloch Road
JAMESTOWN, CA (July 30, 2020) –A two-car crash at Highway 108 and Tulloch Road left three people injured.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place around 7:45 p.m. in southwest Tuolumne County.
Officer Steve Machado with the CHP said that 18-year-old Sadi Tucker pulled into the intersection of Highway 108 at Tulloch Road, after making a stop at the junction.
However, as she pulled forward, crossing the westbound lanes of Highway 108, her vehicle crossed into the path of a westbound 2010 Subaru Forester.
Subsequently, the Subaru collided with the driver’s side of the Audi. As a result, the Subaru overturned and landed in the westbound lanes of the highway.
Due to the accident, the 66-year-old Subaru driver sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. His 68-year-old passenger – Helen Vermillion of Saratoga – suffered moderate injuries and received treatment at the same hospital.
Meanwhile, Tucker sustained minor injuries and received care at the scene.
According to investigations, all three were wearing their seat belts. In addition, neither drugs nor alcohol appears to have played a role in the crash.
