One Dead, 2 Hurt in Clairemont Car Accident at Genesee Avenue

 
CLAIREMONT, CA (July 23, 2020) – A four-car accident at Genesee Avenue and Marlesta Drive claimed one person’s life Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the San Diego fire-rescue Department, the crash took place around 2:00 p.m.
 
Reports say a white SUV crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a silver car before the silver car struck another vehicle. From there, a fourth vehicle somehow became involved.
 
The crash ended with the white SUV partially on its roof and the other cars with apparent damage.
 
Authorities confirmed a fatality at the scene. In addition, paramedics transported two people, one of whom suffered serious injuries, to Sharp Memorial Hospital.
 
Due to the crash, San Diego police officers urged motorists to avoid the intersection.
