Vehicle Overturns in Accident on Highway 97 in Ellensburg
ELLENSBURG, WA (July 26, 2020) – Police identified Jordan Hanson, Camara Rice, and Jeremy Sybertz as the victims who suffered injuries in a rollover crash on Highway 97 on Sunday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 9:00 AM.
Based on a report, a 1995 Pontiac was traveling southbound on the highway when, for an unknown reason, it struck a metal gate. As a result, it rolled over and landed on its top.
Responders sent the driver of the vehicle, Camara Rice, 29, of Roslyn and one passenger, Jeremy Sybertz, 30, of Cle Elum, to Kittitas Valley Healthcare for treatment of non-serious injuries. In addition, they airlifted another passenger, 24-year-old Jordan Hanson, 24, to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment. They said Hanson is in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
Police don’t have additional information on the cause of the crash. However, the investigation is ongoing.
