Fatal Ojai Motorcycle Collision on Highway 33
OJAI, CA (July 21, 2020) — A rider died Sunday following a motorcycle collision on Highway 33 near the Sespe Gorge Area in Ojai.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened in the Los Padres National Forest around 12:15 p.m.
Along the Maricopa Highway, three motorcycles collided with a white Jeep Grand Cherokee under unknown circumstances. Reports described the two motorcycles as two Ducati’s and one Yamaha.
Unfortunately, one of the riders died at the scene. Two people involved in the crash sustained minor injuries, one of whom was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
Investigators have not yet determined the underlying cause of the accident but hope for witnesses’ help in determining the events that took place.
