Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Car in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 23, 2020) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Chester Avenue near 13th Street
According to reports, the Bakersfield Police Department is searching for a Subaru Impreza, believed to be a 1995 to a 2001 model. Police described the vehicle as a metallic green model with tinted side windows that might have sustained front bumper, headlight and windshield damage.
In the 1300 block of Chester Avenue, officers arrived to find an adult male that had been struck by a sedan heading southbound on Chester Avenue. Per reports, the pedestrian was either pushing or riding a bicycle at the time the car struck him.
Unfortunately, the victim died at the scene.
