2 Hospitalized in Car Accident on 1st Street [Taft, CA]
Two Vehicles Cause Crash on 1st Avenue at Kern Avenue in Taft
TAFT, CA (July 23, 2020) – Paramedics sent two people to the hospital after a car accident on 1st Street on Thursday evening.
According to California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Kern Avenue just before 8:00 PM.
Based on reports, a Chevrolet SUV was running eastbound on Kern prior to the crash. As it entered the intersection, a car going north on 1st pulled out in front and a collision occurred. Consequently, it struck the Chevy’s driver’s side.
Emergency crews sent two victims to the hospital for treatment of minor to moderate injuries. Several other people suffered minor injuries but declined medical transport.
Taft Police is investigating the case. However, officers don’t have additional information at this point.
