Travis Balthazar Killed in Madera Hit-and-Run
MADERA, CA (July 27, 2020) — An O’Neals man died Thursday in a hit-and-run crash on Road 224 near Grandma’s Place.
According to detectives, the crash that left 31-year-old Travis Balthazar was believed to be intentional.
California Highway Patrol officers launched a hit-and-run investigation later that Thursday. After that, police located a white Acura sedan in the Kerckhoff reservoir.
According to evidence at the scene, the crash appeared to be intentional. As a result, CHP officers turned the investigation over to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office homicide team.
Shortly after, officers arrested Danielle Cook and Christopher Robesky of North Fork. However, detectives have not yet confirmed a motive for the crash.
