Pedestrian Fatally Struck in South Los Angeles Accident Near Vernon Avenue

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (July 20, 2020) – A hit-and-run driver fatally struck a pedestrian near East Vernon Avenue and San Pedro Street late Thursday.
 
According to the Los Angeles police, the deadly incident happened around 10:40 p.m.
 
Arriving paramedics transported the nameless victim to an area hospital where. However, despite life-saving attempts, he succumbed to his injuries.
 
Reports say the suspect fled the scene of the crash and was last seen traveling at high speeds on Vernon Street.
 
However, reports released no information surrounding the driver’s appearance but described the vehicle as a light-colored 2011 to 2015 Dodge Charger with damage to the undercarriage.
