Demetreus Morrison Killed in Multi-Car Crash on 32nd Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
Three Vehicles Involved in Fatal Crash on 32nd Avenue and Broadway Road in Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ (July 22, 2020) – Police identified Demetreus Morrison as the victim who died in a multi-vehicle crash on 32nd Avenue on Wednesday.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the collision happened near Broadway Road.
Based on a report, a Dodge Charger and a Dodge Challenger were heading east on Broadway when another car turned into a private driveway. The Challenger then tried to avoid crashing with the turning vehicle. As a result, it struck the Charger.
Both cars then veered off the roadway. The Challenger struck a Jeep Cherokee that was parked on the south side of the road while the Charger hit a utility pole.
Paramedics pronounced the Challenger dead at the scene. They identified the victim as 28-year-old Demetreus Morrison. The driver of the Charger, identified as a 28-year-old man, remained at the scene following the crash.
Investigators say impairment does not appear to be a factor and speed may have played a role in the accident. However, an investigation is ongoing.
To the family and friends of Demetreus Morrison, we would like to express our deepest condolences during this painful time.
