4 Die in Amador County Car Crash on Latrobe Road
AMADOR COUNTY, CA (July 24, 2020) – Four lives were cut short following a fiery solo-car crash on Latrobe Road near South Shingle Road Thursday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Thursday afternoon accident happened around 2:15 p.m.
CHP officers have determined that the driver of the unspecified make and model of the car went over the double yellow lines as he or she tried passing two vehicles. Unfortunately, the car went off the road and veered onto a field where it immediately ruptured into flames.
The four occupants inside the car died at the scene; however, the cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
As for their identities, they remain unknown at this time pending DNA analysis.
Our hearts go out to the bereaved families and friends of the victims. We hope you find courage and hope during this heartbreaking time.
