16-Year-Old Male Dies in ATV Crash on Gibson Boulevard [Albuquerque, NM]
One Dies in ATV Crash on Gibson Boulevard and Messina Drive in Albuquerque
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (July 18, 2020) – Police confirmed that a 16-year-old male died in an ATV crash on Gibson Boulevard on Saturday night.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, the collision happened at Messina Drive onto westbound Golinda Road shortly after 9:00 PM.
Based on a report, a vehicle was turning to westbound Golinda Road when it collided with the ATV that was running eastbound when the collision occurred. An initial assessment showed that the ATV did not have any headlights.
Emergency crews sent the 16-year-old ATV to the hospital where he later died due to severe injuries.
The ADP did not release additional information. However, officers are investigating the collision.
