Stephanie O’Hanlon Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Golf Links Road [Tucson, AZ]
Stephanie O’Hanlon Fatally Struck by Multiple Cars in Hit-and-Run Crash at Golf Links and Craycroft Roads
TUCSON, AZ (July 24, 2020) – A 29-year-old woman perished in Thursday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Golf Links and Craycroft roads.
Around 3:45 a.m., a pedestrian accident summoned officers from Operations Division Midtown to the scene. Shortly after, the Tucson fire department responded to render aid to Stephanie S. O’Hanlon, who had been hit just moments prior.
Unfortunately, attempts to revive her fell short and O’Hanlon succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
According to investigations, a hit-and-run driver most likely partook in the accident. Evidence shows that a red four-door Subaru was traveling westbound on Golf Links Road in the middle traffic lane. The Subaru driver was traveling behind a dark SUV as a gray Volkswagen trailed behind the Subaru.
Upon approaching the intersection with Craycroft Road, the Subaru driver struck an unknown object, later identified as O’Hanlon, which had appeared from underneath the SUV.
The supposed unknown object at the time was subsequently hit by the gray Volkswagen.
According to authorities, the dark SUV continued west on Golf Links Road while the drivers of the Subaru and Volkswagen stayed and waited for authorities.
A DUI officer responded shortly thereafter and determined that neither the Subaru nor the Volkswagen driver had been impaired at the time.
However, authorities determined that O’Hanlon, who had been wearing black clothing at the time, demonstrated erratic behavior, like yelling at passing drivers. In addition, detectives believe that she may have had been lying on the roadway when the SUV struck her.
Our law offices would like to express its sincere sympathies to the bereaved family and friends of Stephanie S. O’Hanlon.
