2 Men Killed in Solo-Car Accident on China Gulch Road Near Canyon Road [Anderson, CA]

Fatal Rollover Accident in Anderson

 
ANDERSON, CA (July 20, 2020) — Two men died following Thursday’s solo-vehicle accident on China Gulch Road near Canyon Road.
 
The deadly incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. According to reports, a Ford F-550 dump truck heading eastbound on China Gulch Road entered a sharp ring-hand curve.
 
Subsequently, the driver lost control of the wheel, crossed into the opposing lane of traffic and overturned down an embankment on the north side of the road.
 
Per an investigation, the passenger and driver who had failed to wear their seatbelts were partially ejected as the car overturned approximately 50 feet down a steep bank.
 
Soon after, authorities arrived at the scene and found both males deceased.
 
Authorities have not yet released their identities pending notification of next of kin.
 
According to officers, DUI might have played a role in the accident; however, more investigation surrounding the details remains.
