Two Injured in Wrong-Way Crash on Greenback Lane [Citrus Heights, CA]
Crash on Greenback Lane at Fountain Square Drive in Citrus Heights
CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (July 17, 2020) – At least two people suffered injuries in a wrong-way crash on Greenback Lane on Friday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Fountain Square Drive around 8:00 PM.
Based on a report, a driver was seen driving on the wrong way prior to the incident. Consequently, it crashed into another vehicle.
Emergency crews sent both drivers to the hospital for treatment.
Crews temporarily closed all lanes of Greenback Lane between Brooktree Drive and San Juan Avenue to give way to rescue and clearing operations.
Officials from Citrus Heights police are investigating if drugs or alcohol were a factor in this crash. At this time, they don’t have additional information.
