One Killed in Two-Car Crash on Village Drive [Victorville, CA]
Fatal Crash on Village Drive and Eto Camino Road in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (July 17, 2020) – Police confirmed that one person got killed in a two-car crash on Village Drive on early Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Eto Camino Road around 5:40 PM.
Based on a report, a silver Honda Accord was traveling west on Eto Camino when it attempted to make a left turn onto Village Drive. Consequently, it drove directly into the path of an oncoming white Nissan Altima. As a result, the Nissan hit the front driver’s side door of the Honda.
Emergency crews pronounced the driver of the Honda dead at the scene. They did not release the name of the victim pending kin notification. In addition, paramedics sent two children passengers to a trauma center. They also took the driver of the Nissan to a local hospital. Their injuries are still unknown.
The case remains under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. At this time, officials don’t have additional information yet. However, they are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the Sheriff’s Victorville station at 760-241-2911.
