Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Driver in Oxnard on Channel Islands Boulevard and M Street
OXNARD, CA (July 20, 2020) — A driver had fatally struck a female pedestrian early Thursday at Channel Islands Boulevard and M Street.
According to the Oxnard Police Department, the 1:52 a.m. accident claimed a 30-year-old woman’s life.
In the investigation, officers determined that the 25-year-old driver was heading westbound on West Channel Islands Boulevard when, under unknown circumstances, his vehicle struck the pedestrian.
Police have yet to confirm what drove the accident. In addition, it is unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
