Father and Daughter Killed in Accident on 51st Avenue and Thunderbird Road in Glendale
GLENDALE, AZ (July 12, 2020) – Police identified Robert Strickbine and his 13-year-old daughter, Kalley Strickbine as the victims who died in a bicycle crash on 51st Avenue on Sunday evening.
According to the Glendale Police Department, the collision happened near Thunderbird Road at approximately 7:30 PM.
Based on a report, the older Strickbine had just picked up Kalley from a friend’s home at the time of the incident. The girl was riding on the handlebars of his bike when the driver of a Dodge Dart struck them.
Impact ejected the two from the bicycle. As a result, both victims died from their injuries.
Police said the female driver of the Dodge Dart stayed at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation. At this time, authorities are investigating whether impairment or medical issues were factors in the crash.
