2 Men Killed in Solo-Car Accident on 880 Freeway Near Davis Street [San Leandro, CA]

2 Men Die in San Leandro Fiery Crash

 
SAN LEANDRO, CA (July 14, 2020) — Two men died in Saturday morning’s fiery solo-car accident on 880 Freeway near Davis Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 2:45 a.m. crash took place at the Davis Street off-ramp of the southbound 880 Freeway.
 
Authorities determined that a single vehicle crashed at the ramp under unknown circumstances. The vehicle subsequently engulfed in flames and officers found one man who’d been ejected from the car and the other trapped in the burning car.
 
Officers described both victims as males in their 20s or 30s who died at the scene. Their identities will be released once the next of kin has been notified.
