2 Killed, 3 Seriously Injured in Crash on Stony Point Road [Santa Rosa, CA]
Fatal Santa Rosa Accident on Stony Point Road at Trombetta Street
SANTA ROSA, CA (July 12, 2020) – Police confirmed that two people died and three suffered serious injuries in a crash on Stony Point Road on early Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Trombetta Street around 12:15 AM.
Based on a report from the Santa Rosa Police Department, a silver BMW was speeding northbound on Stony Point before the incident happened. At the same time, a silver Cadillac CTS was heading westbound on Lazzini. Due to an unknown reason, the vehicles collided at the intersection of Trombetta.
As a result, crews pronounced two men in the Cadillac dead at the scene. They did not release the identities of the victims pending notification of their kins. In addition, they sent two men and a woman in the BMW to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to call the Santa Rosa Police Department’s Traffic Division at (707) 543-3636. At this time, they don’t have additional information. However, an investigation is ongoing.
