Hit-and-Run Driver Strikes, Injures Pedestrian in Las Vegas on Charleston Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 9, 2020) – A pedestrian suffered critical injuries following Monday’s hit-and-run accident at East Charleston Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard South.
According to police, a 2019 Kia Soul, heading westbound on Charleston Boulevard, veered off the road and struck a light pole. The impact sent the Kia back onto the road, where it struck a man in the intersection’s marked crosswalk.
Police added that the Kia fled the area but pulled into 333 E. Charleston Blvd., where the male driver and two of his passengers fled from the scene.
As of Tuesday morning, the occupants remain unaccounted for.
As for the pedestrian, paramedics brought him to the University Medical Center trauma unit, where police say he remains in critical condition.
Detectives are urging the public to help them in identifying the driver of the 2019 Kia Soul. Anyone with information can call (702) 828-3595.
