Man Killed in Suspected DUI Crash on Merrill Avenue at Yucca Avenue in Rialto

 
RIALTO, WA (July 6, 2020) – Police identified Steven Cardona as the victim who died in a high-speed crash on Merrill Avenue on early Monday morning.
 
According to the Rialto Police Department, the collision happened at Yucca Avenue at approximately 1:45 AM.
 
Based on a report, the 26-year-old victim was driving westbound on Merrill at extremely high speeds when he lost control of the car. As a result, the Honda Civic jumped a curb and slammed into two trees and a wall. In addition, the impact ejected Cardona from the car.
 
Officers found the victim down in the road. As a result, they pronounced him dead at the scene.
