Two Struck, Injured by Truck in Prescott Pedestrian Accident on Prescott Lakes Parkway
PRESCOTT, AZ (July 4, 2020) – Crews airlifted two people after a pedestrian accident on Prescott Lakes Parkway on Saturday evening.
According to the Prescott Police Department, the collision happened at Willow Lake Road around 10:00 PM.
Based on a report, a full-size Toyota Tundra pick-up truck struck the victims while crossing Willow Lake Road.
The first patient, a 51-year-old man, suffered multi-system trauma. The second patient, a 49-year-old woman, sustained facial trauma, and a loss of consciousness. Paramedics airlifted both victims down to HonorHealth Deer Valley’s Level 1 Trauma Center in Phoenix.
Police do not suspect alcohol nor drugs to be a factor in the incident. However, they ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has more information to call the police.
Always follow traffic regulations and always give way to pedestrians to avoid accidents. However, if you are a pedestrian, do not wear dark clothes and use the crosswalk to cross the streets. Above all, always follow traffic lights in intersections.
